Being

Being

The beingness of all that I am,

on every level of my being,

inflow, outflow,

all encompassed in the stillness of the present moment.

Watching, calmly aware,

stillness pervades the loving eyes of awaremess itself.

Content in the knowingness of its own divinity

Appreciation and Gratitude

This morning I had a remembrance of how important appreciation and gratitude are for me. So as I was preparing and having my breakfast, I started thinking of everything I could be thankfull and appreciative for. As I looked out the window I saw the flowers and the rain dripping into a bucket, that my wife had put out so the birds had somewhere they could bathe in. I silently within myself said thank you, and felt appreciative that she had done this, and was glad the birds had somewhere to bathe, AND that because of this we could watch them bathe and enjoy their antics. I realized that one simple act of gratitude and appreciation feeds upon itself creating more and more moments to be gratefull for. So to everyone out there I just want to say Thank YOU for being YOU! You make the world a better place for being in it!

Cosmic Energy

I love to travel to natural bushland and wilderness areas as these trips always leave me feeling re-energised. The stronger that I feel my connection to the environment the richer and deeper I experience this energy and the affect can last for days.

The photo above is from one of my trips and just looking at it reminds me of the the cosmic energy is all about us, by contemplating the image for a short time I can again start to feel the creative energy begin to flow through me just like it did on the day I took the photo.

A visual poem titled: Simplicity

A visual poem titled
“Simplicity”

Swirling whirling eternal mists of night,
split the darkness with soft saturnal light.
Rushing, enveloping calmly crashing might,
encroaching the rim of blind forgotten sight.
tenuous, touching delicately poised,
in tremulous silence no sound or noise,
wafts a soft whisper of waking joy,
the childlike awareness of a playful toy.

Creative Journey

Michael and I had an interesting exchange of emails part of which regarded the creative journey that artists undertake.

During the journey many artists have insights into the connection of their subjects to the divine. This creative journey is different for each artist but the destination remains the same which is a better understanding of the artist themselves, their subjects and their place in the universe.

The image with the wind blown ripples, reflected light, bright colours and dark depths are a abstract representation of the creative journey.

Have you experienced any insights on your creative journey?
